Modified Greene and Vesley Bacterial Filtration Efficiency (BFE)

Provides a practical method of in vivo (wearing) testing of surgical face masks while forcefully speaking specific words in a controlled environment. This technique evaluates the filtration efficiency of face masks against large droplets. The method employs a quantitative measurement using an Andersen Sampler to determine the effectiveness of the mask at containing microorganisms that might contaminate the patient or surrounding area.
